Bug Description

I have found that like with other screencasting programs, Vokoscreen only records a black screen under Wayland, although all works well under Xorg. I am running Ubuntu GNOME 16.10 with GNOME 3.22.

vokoscreen 2.4.0 stopped displaying the area selection tool.
I am guessing 2.4.0 is an update and it is broke.
One day it worked, the next it didn't.
Purged and reinstalled. Same issue.
