Not the right output of the command vnstati when working with locale ru_RU.UTF-8

I use Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.1

When you use the command it was discovered that vnstati does display the Russian text in the picture incorrectly

vnstati -s -i wlp2s0 -o ~/network.png
In the field must have the value "мар '17"
Displayed on a picture of some doodles. look in the attachment.

command vnstat work correct.
command vnstat print this:

In the command output, the received expected value for the field "мар '17"

As far as I know, this problem is caused by the internal fonts of libgd used by vnstati not supporting UTF-8.

And on what version of libgd is vnstati based?

I'll try to put a newer version of vnstati still.
