Bug Description

Finding a correct AKI and ARI seems complicated. The ec2 plugin should default to use a well-known AKI and ARI working with the chosen suite.

if you specify what are "sensible" values, I'd be glad to fix it.

Right. Once the aki/ari are officially published, we'll have the correct
defaults. For now we should put the code to support specifying defaults
so that we just need to do an SRU to update the aki/ari numbers.

the code is already there as it just requires to specify a default value in the argument declaration, so all that is left to do is know which sensible values should be used.

This definitely would be nice. Because I've been delinquent on getting a replacement for ec2-version-query, its really not possible right now.

At some point, I hope to be producing something on s3 storage that is web accessible and laid out like ec2-version-query, so this would be easier to do.

At very least, though, you'd have to feed vmbuilder a region to run in (or default to us-east-1). I don't think vmbuilder takes any such input right now.
