Bug Description

The bug is present in all workspaces, when I go in fullscreen and switch workspaces (not move vlc window in fullscreen, but just switch workspaces) and go back to vlc and restore window with the player bar at the bottom visable, it stays visable but its not functional. Sort of like inception.

workaround: when you leave fullscreen make sure bottom player bar is not visable.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but it seems to me that the desktop just fails to redraw after VLC shrinks. In that case, it's a bug in the desktop process, not in VLC.

@rdenis #2 ah I thought it was bug in vlc since this is only program that I use with this problem. But it seems like you are right. one prossiable fix could be having a floating player controls bar, instead of fixed one when I restore from fullscreen. But that would require some UI redesign and I like the current UI. But I have had enough issues with Nvidia drivers and new x-org version in 12.04 to not put any blame on vlc.

Please reassign to desktop. This is not a VLC bug.
