Crash is repeatable:
System: das@das:~$ uname -a
Linux das 3.2.0-8-generic #15-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jan 11 13:55:57 UTC 2012 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux
while playing a .ogg file from 'www.radioparadise.com/', clicking on the "EXTENDED SETTINGS" button causes immediate crash of vlc.

It might be repeatable for you but I cannot reproduce it and the stack trace just shows that an assertion failed within Qt4 libraries.

Can you please try to reproduce the problem under valgrind ('valgrind vlc') and provide the output?
