Bug Description

VLC has a permanent default audio delay of about 350 seconds. Every time I start up VLC to watch a video, I have to manually set the audio delay to -350ms for proper audio/video sync. This has been happening since an update to vlc when I was using Ubuntu 11.04. After upgrading to 11.10 beta, the bug still persists.
This has been tested by me on multiple systems.
