vlc crashes while playing .ram files

Binary package hint: vlc

While I am trying to listen a ram file, vlc starts to play it normally, but after a few minutes it resists to play and slows down the whole system. It interrupts playing the file, too.

When using ALSA directly, the playback sounds weird after around 1:30.

Oops, I mistakenly changed the status to "Fix released" but this is wrong as I could reproduce the bad behavior. I cannot set the status back to "Triaged". Sorry about the noise.

FYI, still failing after ~1 minute on Precise:
