Bug Description

Binary package hint: vlc

Step to reproduce:
install a program that uses lot of cpu (like boinc i.e.)

start this program
start a movie into vlc

after a while, vlc starts to take more and more ram (in less than a second or tow it takes 4 GB of ram)

after this the linux kernel kills it to free some memory.

I can attach a valgrind log if needed.
