Binary package hint: nautilus
When right clicking on a .mp3 file that is accessed from a windows share nautilus doesn't show vlc in the Open With menu. If I copy the file to the desktop vlc is shown in the menu. I would expect it to be shown no matter where the file is. |
VLC fairly recently got GNOME-VFS support. The Ubuntu package isn't built with it.
If we do enable it, the .desktop should be updated to inform Nautilus that it can open remote files. |
