Bug Description

Binary package hint: vlc

VideoLAN Media Player crashes when playing OGG Vorbis audio files it doesn't effect FLAC audio file but it has effect also playing certain mp3 files as well. When playing OGG Vorbis files the playback is choppy and stutters and who choosing another OGG Vorbis track it'll get so choppy that the player crashes and causes a segmentation fault.

Another bug I've also stumble upon is when you change or tweak anything in VLC preferences section, when you do any changes in there and click save button thereafter the player freezes and after a few seconds the player crashes and causes a segmentation fault as well.
