Bug Description

Binary package hint: vlc

Hello

The video output is not rendered inside the interface window but inside another window. I tried to change it in the options but the option "intégrer la vidéo dans l'interface" does not change anything.

0.9.4-1ubuntu3.1 (Intrepid) behaves as expected, with the "Integrate video in interface" toggling between having 2 windows for playback (1 for the video, another for the controls) and a single window with the controls stacked on top of the video.

0.9.8a-1ubuntu4 (Jaunty) will ONLY display the output and controls separately with the toggle having no effect.

Changed in vlc (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed
summary: - output don't want to be integrated in the interface
+ vlc 0.9.8a will not integrate video in the interface

This bug is present for me in the version of vlc in Ubuntu 9.04 (0.9.9a). If I goto tools > preferences and under Interface Settings I check the "integrate video in interface" tick box it does nothing, I still get the video in a separate window. This behaviour is _really_ annoying.
