Video start stutterung when increasing playback speed to 2.0

Bug Description

In Ubuntu 18.04 I'm using VLC media player as my default media player. Everything works fine but for some reasons I have to watch some videos on double speed to save my time. But when I increase playback speed to 2.0x video start stuttering, audio quality remain unchanged.

Please provide the output of vlc -vvv when this issue appears. If you are using hardware decoding, try to disable it. I suspect that your hardware is not powerful enough to keep up with the playback speed.
