Bug Description

Binary package hint: vlc

When playing a video in VLC, the display will suspend when the computer has been idle long enough.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open VLC, play a video
2. Sit down to watch said video, not moving the mouse or typing on the keyboard
3. Display suspends after 10 minutes

There should be an option in VLC to disable this behaviour.

Version: vlc-0.8.6.releasec-0ubuntu5

This wasn't a problem with VLC; xorg was blanking the screen for some reason. Overriding the (blank|standby|suspend|off)time in xorg.conf fixed it.
