Bug Description
Since upgrading to Xenial, Video > Zoom in vlc appears to do absolutely nothing. Whatever value I select the image stays the same size and zoom. Tried with avi and mp4 files.
Intel i915 graphics, if that is relevant.

Running vlc from a terminal I see
