Bug Description

When switching from 12.02 to 14.04., my vlc lost the ability to browse my minidlna server.

It seems related to the libupnp library, which is according to apt-cache policy libupnp6
libupnp6:
  Installed: 1:1.6.17-1.2

and according to this post, the version 1.6.17 is broken.
