Bug Description
Binary package hint: vlc
VLC is compiled without jack support, and this prevents all users with say, firewire audio cards, to use it.
I personally recompiled the VLC package with jack support and it's as easy as adding "--enable-jack" to the configure line.
Is there a specific reason why VLC ubuntu package doesn't have Jack support ?
