vlc just jitters

SEE whenever i try to play songs or movies anything with vlc, I have problem in hearing audio of that particular file as because a background music also starts to play.Everything just jitter very badly
But when i play them totem,kplayer,smplayer ,etc everything just works fine.
please solve this bug as i am a huge fan of vlc...

Thanks after updating VLC my problem was 95% solved as about playing 20 to 25 time,Its just jitter again .
But thats fine.
