VisualBoyAdvance: segmentation fault on 16.04

Bug Description

When I try to run VisualBoyAdvance via its menu launcher, it does nothing. Trying to issue "gvba" on a terminal results in a "segmentation fault error (core generated)". Tried older VBA binaries, with no result.
