2022-09-07 15:20:48 Dustin description After upgrading the host kernel to 5.15.0-47.51 from 5.15.0-46.49 the Guest OS (Debian 11) started to show intermittent problems preforming hashing operations. This could be resolved on the guest by disabling gcrypt hardware acceleration, but there are other possible problems. It seems that the underlying problem is the version of virtualbox in the jammy repos (6.1.34) is not compatible with the latest kernels in the jammy repos. https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=106272 Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS (host) Virtualbox 6.1.34-dfsg-3~ubuntu1.22.04.1 Debian 11 (guest) After upgrading the host kernel to 5.15.0-47.51 from 5.15.0-46.49 the Guest OS (Debian 11) started to show intermittent problems preforming hashing operations.
