Bug Description

$ uname -a
Linux mbpr13b 4.13.0-15-generic #16-Ubuntu SMP Wed Oct 4 21:59:25 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The font size of the interface is too small and hardly legible (see attached screen shot)

starting with
QT_SCALE_FACTOR=2 virtualbox

makes the screen readable but this scaling is carried into the guest systems and there the interface is not readable any more (either fonts are to big or jaggy).
