Bug Description

When starting Ubuntu Mate 17.10 Alpha 2 amd64 ISO in VirtualBox 5.1.26, no network connection is automatically started.

Network Manager indicates interface enp0s3 is "not managed". Editing /etc/network/interfaces doesn't enable networking either.

Reproduce:

Create a new VM in VirtualBox, go to Settings for the VM, Network, Advanced, and set Adapter Type to "Paravirtualized Network (virtio-net)". Start the VM using the ISO, and install the OS.
