Bug Description
In the update manager, I have been prompted to perform a 'hardware update'. This has failed several times. ( I did not report these issues at the time). Today I tried again and it appeared to work, but then this error occurred.
I cannot now open a virtual machine in virtualbox, citing the error:
The VirtualBox Linux kernel driver (vboxdrv) is either not loaded or there is a permission problem with /dev/vboxdrv. Please reinstall the kernel module by executing
'/etc/init.
as root. If it is available in your distribution, you should install the DKMS package first. This package keeps track of Linux kernel changes and recompiles the vboxdrv kernel module if necessary.
The proposed solution does not work as the vboxdrv file does not exist.
