Bug Description
Natty 11.04, virtualbox 4.0. Tried to re-install DKMS using synaptic. Everything was ok, then dpkg (I think) stalled as "Changes are being applied. I waited 15/20 minutes and then tried to get it to "wake up" or shut down. I clicked the triangle to view the progress of things and it appeared to me, that I was looking at a terminal window that had launched a process of some kind and it was waiting for that process to close. I could hit the [ENTER] key and watch the text in my mini-terminal window scroll up so keyboard input was still alive. After about another ten minutes of looking at that noise, I tried to cancel the whole mess via the cancel button, it didn't work. After clicking it several times, I [CTRL-C]'d it, it warned me about interupting the mess, asked me if I was sure. I said no at first and let stew a little more. Finally, I repeated the stuff above, answered yes, and synaptic closed. I rebooted the machine, restarted synaptic and got errors about interupted installation w/instructions on using dpkg to close up an open file so it could complete. Did them, but the install is still in limbo. This package was previousely install and worked fine so I think I'll try removeing it completetly, reboot the machine and try again.
