Bug Description

Binary package hint: virtualbox-ose

I fresh installed Ubuntu 11.04 Beta 1 amd64 into VirtualBox 4.0.4 r70112 running a Windows 7 64bit host. After a successful installation I rebooted and it loaded into Ubuntu and displayed the desktop with no issues.

Then I chose Devices > Install Guest Additions from the VirtualBox menu and installed the guest additions. After the guest additions finished installing, I rebooted the virtual machine only to find that it would not boot Xorg and load the desktop as expected. Instead I get a blank purple screen with the same colour as the Ubuntu loading screen (loading dots + logo do not show however).

Trying to run startx from the terminal failed with the error:
Failed to load module "vboxvideo" (module requirement mismatch, 0)
