Bug Description
Binary package hint: virtualbox-ose
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
package virtualbox-ose-dkms 3.1.6-dfsg-2ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: virtualbox-ose kernel module failed to build
I attempted to install Virtualbox via the software center and received this error. As such, I then deselected the package (expecting it to uninstall) but received the same message. I've repeated this scenario a few times, but to no avail. Currently the package appears as "uninstalled" in the software center.
Now, any time I have updates I end the update with the same error.I can't uninstall not properly install the app.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

I get this crash everytime I install virtualbox from Ubuntu Software Centre and got this error after rebooting too.
Then when trying to create a virtualbox instance, running say Ubuntu server, when starting the instance, I get the following error:
------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- -----
Kernel driver not installed (rc=-1908)
The VirtualBox Linux kernel driver (vboxdrv) is either not loaded or there is a permission problem with /dev/vboxdrv. Please reinstall the kernel module by executing
'/etc/init. d/vboxdrv setup'
as root. If it is available in your distribution, you should install the DKMS package first. This package keeps track of Linux kernel changes and recompiles the vboxdrv kernel module if necessary. ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- -----
