I cannot reproduce this using 2.0.4:
I've re-enabled the popup dialog (by removing the """ExtraDataItem name="GUI/SuppressMessages"""" line from VirtualBox.xml) and when clicking into a Ubuntu Intrepid virtual box (without guest additions AFAIK), the mouse gets captured as expected when clicking "Capture" (and does not get captured when clicking "Cancel"). |

I've searched the existing tickes for "capture", but could not find a matching ticket.

Since James confirmed it for 2.1.0 (non-OSE I suppose), it's not likely to be fixed yet. |
