Bug Description

Virtualbox, working on AMD64 7.10, fails after upgrade to 8.04 with

"No suitable module for running kernel found."

I expected virtualbox to start. It doesn't.

Attempt at apt-get remove followed by apt-get install makes no difference

virtualbox 1.5.6_OSE, AMD64 ubuntu

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 8.04
Release: 8.04
Codename: hardy

Did you install and/or rebuild the virtualbox-ose-modules package for your Hardy kernel?

You need to install "virtualbox-ose-modules-generic" (for a generic kernel).
I'm marking it as duplicate of bug 152405.

Changed in virtualbox-ose:
