When starting or stopping a VM, virt-manager crashes.

Workaround: Edit->Preferences->General - Disable "Enable system tray icon"

Are you connecting to a remote server, or is this happening locally?

The connection is to localhost, not running under unity, but unity is installed.

same conditions, same behaviour here under kde 4.5.3.

 if the indicator applet is the little cercle with a number of waiting notification inside then yes I have this applet installed.

This seems to be no longer occurring, not sure why as there has been zero updates for me in network-manager, perhaps this was fixed elsewhere.

i'm experiencing this problem too.
disabling the virt-manager indicator-applet fixes the problem.

this is the output from 'virt-manager --debug':

ps. i'm running a 'bare' ubuntu desktop, unity is not installet, all happens locally and the indicator applet happily resides in the top bar with only the default applets inside (apart from the virt-manager applet, of course)

@Pascal: this problem is not kde related.
i'm experienced it in Ubuntu with Gnome.
So i think that should not marked as 'fix released'
