Bug Description

Binary package hint: virt-manager

steps to reproduce:

 - install maverick from desktop cd
 - sudo apt-get install virt-manager libvirt-bin
 - sudo chmod 1777 /var/lib/libvirt/images
 - /var/lib/libvirt/images ; cd wget http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/squeeze_di_alpha1/i386/iso-cd/debian-testing-i386-netinst.iso
 - in virt-manager: setup a new VM, select this iso as installation media.

Thanks for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
I can't actually reproduce this bug right now. Can you update your
system and try again? Or, are you sure that you meant 'chmod 1777'?

Admittedly I am on x86-64, so if you can reproduce on the very
latest, and 1777 was what you meant, then I'll try isntalling a i686 maverick
and reproducing from that.

I believe this is a duplicate of 628055. The error message is the same, and the host architecture matches. Please reopen if this is in error.

I can confirm that this issue is now fixed in current maverick, I think Jamie is right here.

please note that the hard drive I've used is 'just' 8GB.
