Bug Description

Binary package hint: virt-manager

Going to Host Details->Virtual Networking I want to change the DHCP range, however if I backspace or try and change the
address range fields (on the default network) at all it just beeps at me and doesn't let me edit it, with no explanation of why.

(It seems a bad idea to default to the entire /24 being in the dhcp range - I just wanted to carve off a few for fixed IP and it
would have seemed to make the sense for that to be the default).

I have some VMs running at the time - but that's no reason to stop editing of the dhcp range.

I have run into the same thing. Apparently, you cannot edit a DHCP configuration. However, you can delete it and create a new one. First you have to click Stop Network (for me, a red circle with an X inside), then Delete Network (a red crossed circle), then the green plus sign to add a network. The wizard steps you through creating a new DHCP setup, and this new network's default settings are more sensible, with the dynamic range from 128-254.

Yep, but you shouldn't have to delete/readd just to tweak something minor; also you *really* shouldn't have to stop
networking to make a change - no reason to break existing running VMs.
