Bug Description

Binary package hint: virt-manager

There does not seem to be a way to connect to qemu:///system via the virt-manager gui, once can only use the --connect argument from the command line to do so.

To reproduce:
Be a member of libvirtd
Open virt-manager
Click File > Open Connection
Choose QEMU and Local, Click Connect
Notice that you have connected to localhost (user) and not localhost (system)
Quit virt-manager
Open virt-manager by command line `virt-manager -c qemu:///system`
Notice that you now have localhost (System) and now have useful network settings when you add machines

Expected/Wished:
It would be nice to have an extra item in the dropdown for local(system) and local(session/user) to solve this.

virt-manager v0.5.3 on Ubuntu 8.04.1

Confirming this usability issue. One must connect once through the command line for the localhost (system) to appear in the list.

You can change this via gconf-editor. The key is:
/apps/virt-manager/connections/uris

Just use:
qemu:///system

and it will work fine.

Looks like this one is fixed. I see Localhost (System) by default in Jaunty. (virt-manager 0.6.1)
