This is a minor bug: creating a kvm-VM called "ubuntu1404-client02--clone3" is no problem, can even be started, however, after a reboot,
"virsh list --all" did not list the vm, "virt-manager" also did not list it.
This was caused by the comment of the xml-file virt-manager created when creating the VM.
The "--" closed the comment at the beginning of the xml file under /etc/libvirt/qemu thus resulting in an invalid xml file
