Bug Description

There is not any possibility for an end user to configure screen sharing via VNC in Ubuntu 17.10. The "Desktop sharing" shortcut cannot be found in the GNOME Shell Overview and is also missing in the Sharing section of the GNOME Control Center.

This is an upstream issue: Vino VNC server does not support Wayland yet.

I think this is at least in part a duplicate of bug 1730612.

I don't expect for vino itself to gain Wayland support but for vino to be replaced by gnome-remote-desktop.
