Bug Description

Binary package hint: vinagre

I connect to my remote desktop and it connects fine. It displays the desktop fine but when I click something... An icon for example nothing pops up in the VNC client but the icon opens up on the remote computer. This also happens when I open menus... So basically its as if the client is not showing any changes whatsoever but it is still transmitting changes to the remote desktop.

I am having a similar problem so may be related to this bug. The client connects, I can see the mouse cursor moving around, but all I see is the mouse cursor and a black screen at the client.

A workaround for me was to disable desktop effects (compiz) on the host and I was able to view my desktop correctly from the client.
