Bug Description

Binary package hint: vim

I'm running vim72 through Ubuntu 9.04. I'm confused that

:setlocal spell

(or variants) gives

Error detected while processing SpellFileMissing Auto commands for "*":
E117: Unknown function: spellfile#LoadFile
Warning: Cannot find word list "en.utf-8.spl" or "en.ascii.spl"

even though the needed spell file is there at

/usr/share/vim/vim72/spell/en.utf-8.spl

What I have installed:

ii vim-common 2:7.2.079-1ubuntu5 Vi IMproved - Common files
ii vim-full 2:7.2.079-1ubuntu5 Vi IMproved - enhanced vi editor (transition
ii vim-gnome 2:7.2.079-1ubuntu5 Vi IMproved - enhanced vi editor - with GNOM
ii vim-gui-common 2:7.2.079-1ubuntu5 Vi IMproved - Common GUI files
ii vim-runtime 2:7.2.079-1ubuntu5 Vi IMproved - Runtime files
ii vim-tiny 2:7.2.079-1ubuntu5 Vi IMproved - enhanced vi editor - compact v

Everything I'm doing has worked before in vim 71.

Please withdraw this bug report. There was a vim71 in
set runtimepath=~/.vim,/var/lib/vim/addons,/usr/share/vim/vimfiles,/usr/share/vim/vim71,/usr/share/vim/vimfiles/after,/var/lib/vim/addons/after,~/.vim/after
in my old customized .exrc file.
