output PNG is black screenshot series of video [videocut broken in Ubuntu Intrepid]

The images/screencaps of movie are shown in application, but in the resulting PNG only black screen. This is not an upstream bug, because in Debian Lenny videocut works normally.

I'm getting this too. Sometimes all screen caps are transparent, sometimes black.

Previews of screen caps in program look fine, it's only on output that it fails.
