is it not possible to get it put in under the multiverse repo? it is a GPLv2 license, is there a conflict between licenses?
closing, marking as won't fix: vdrift was removed from debian (and hence
from ubuntu) due to license issues (it contains material, that we have
no permission to distribute). vdrift-data was after feisty removed for
these reasons as well.
