Bug Description

Binary package hint: vdr

The installation of package "vdr" works.
The installation of plugins does not work, because a dependency is not resolved. All plugins depend on vdr-abi-1.6.0-debian, but Ubuntu 11.04 ships with vdr-abi-1.7.17-debian.

There also is an "bug" in vdradmin-am: The default port of vdr changed since 1.7.? and a fresh install of vdradmin now doesn't work. Without entering the settings dialog of vdradmin-am no config file exists, so that an average user cannot change the port.

better file that bug to debian then, seems that upstream hasn't changed that either (http://projects.vdr-developer.org/git/?p=vdradmin-am.git;a=shortlog)

It doesn't seem, that vdradmin-am changes its behavior until 11.04 will be released:
http://projects.vdr-developer.org/issues/626

But within 11.04 this should work, perhaps the packet vdradmin-am could ship with a config file, that changes the port. Or vdr is placed back to the old port...

In my opinion the new port should be used, since it is now officially registered.
