Bug Description

Binary package hint: util-linux

If a system that has a /etc/fstab entry that contains a usbfs entry is booted in 10.04 then this error will appear (and I believe it could interrupt the booting process).

The workaround is simple, comment out or remove the offending line in /etc/fstab, but unfortunately a lot of system that are being upgraded have entries like this left in the file and then have this error.

If the mount process not longer supports this filesystem type, then it should just ignore it and place a message in the syslog file.

Closing since this only applies when upgrading from versions older than 10.04, which have been end of life for a long time.

Changed in util-linux (Ubuntu):
