Bug Description

there has been support for BeFS in the kernel since 2.4 (http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=274774), but man mount does not reflect this.

I'm setting this to confirmed. The vfstype option is 'befs'.

Actually 'bfs' is different from 'befs' (befs is the BeOS filesystem whereas 'bfs' is the Boot File System). Both are undocumented in the man page.
