Bug Description

After making changes to disk with cfdisk 2.12p and trying to save them, cfdisk
asks to enter finnish word for "yes" or "no". translations are "kyllä" and "ei",
but chdisk does not regognise, and thus ignore letter "ä", and user can not
complete operation. "ä" equals extended ASCII code 132.
This appears in Ubuntulinux default install with kernel 2.6.10-5-386 and finnish
language. All udates applied.
I can workaround this by logging in with english language.

Dear devs,

This is also an issue in Dapper's cfdisk using spanish translation. Spanish confirmation word is "sí", but the accented í cannot be entered. Not even by copy-pasting. I don't know what ASCII code "í " has (though I know it is not a standard character, as it requires tricks in LaTeX), and haven't attempted to log-in in english.

Cfdisk version is 2.12r, from util-linux 2.12r-4ubuntu6.

Thank you very much,

Miguel

It happens to me as well in Spanish. I tried to type the í, to do copy-paste... but nothing worked.

In the end I found a workaround: type export LC_ALL=POSIX in the terminal and the English version will appear the next time you enter cfdisk. But the Spanish version (and the Finnish as well, as it seems) are unusable.

It still happends in with spanish env on gutsy. If you try to write the changes, cfdisk demands "sí" or "no" and in a spanish enviorement you can't write the "í" character.

To reproduce this bug use: LANG=ES_es cfdisk , make some changes and try to write them

And it still happens in Finnish cfdisk 2.12r on gutsy as well. I cannot write ä in the word "kyllä" for yes.
