Bug Description
Binary package hint: util-linux

- mkswap-uuid patched mkswap by the National Venter for High-performance Computing (NCHC) Taiwan [2]
Description_
mkswap can't create a predefined uuid for a new swap partition.
But mkswap-uuid offered by the drbl project (clonezilla) [2] does!
I've been told the patch is quite simplistic so it weould be good to have it in hardy before eature freeze.
Solution:
patch mkswap as NCHC-TW did.
Affects also:
This would also be a help for other bugs regarding swap-parition uuids in ubuntu.
#9052626 Routine fsck deactivates swap, changing UUID
#66637 After running mkswap, swap space is discarded, system fails to hibernate (invalid swap signature)
