Bug Description

Binary package hint: utf8-migration-tool

If you run this tool on a system with an encrypted ~/Private directory, the tool will first rename files in ~/.Private and then ~/Private. I'm not sure what happens if you manage files from ~/.Private/ but I would guess it's not that good.

Probably this tool will also care about files in ~/.gvfs/ and that is probably not what you want (if I would run it at work with a 2TB share mounted in ~/.gvfs/xyz with all the companys document, that would probably not be what I wanted).

There are no options possible with this tool so I can't think of a workaround except re-writing the code.

$ apt-cache policy utf8-migration-tool
