uswsusp (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

Binary package hint: uswsusp

on 10.10 sudo s2disk used to work just fine. on natty however, it does not finish.

On my system, it never even starts... it used to go into text mode and print some message on the screen about saving the snapshot... now it does not do anything.

If I run "sudo strace s2disk", it gets stuck at open("/dev/snapshot", O_RDONLY).

After installing the Ubuntu 11.10 upcoming kernel, 2.6.39-3, my system is able to suspend to disk/ram like before (on 10.10)

I've got the same problem with suspend and hibernate on 2.6.38-10 kernel... it says that it has started saving the snapshot to disk and hangs right there.

Changed in uswsusp (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed

Clean install of 11.10 on Lenovo S12 (intel).

When attempting to hibernate, hangs at s2disk.
