Press ENTER during splash for shutdown does not work

Bug Description
I am using the Beta 2 Dapper Drake Live CD. If I start the Live CD with the splash and then reboot, the last step in the shutdown tells me to eject the CD then press "ENTER" when ready. If I hit enter nothing happens.
If I restart and choose to boot "live-nosplash" and do the same thing the enter key works as it should during shutdown. This only happens when using the splash.
I am using a TiBook PowerPC with a G4.

Yeah, we don't know why that's broken, but we found a fix for RC that's on new CDs.
