No splash screen on Kubuntu 8.04 beta live CD 64-bit

Bug Description

I am presented with a black screen during bootup until a light blue screen color is shown. Nothing happens after this, but that is another bug, I will report after this.

Asus V1S with Nvidia graphics card.

 1. A detailed description of the problem, including any error message or special visual phenomenon you might notice.
 2. The file created by this command on a terminal : sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.txt
 3. The file created by this command in a terminal : cat /boot/grub/menu.lst > menu.lst
 4. The file created by this command in a terminal : cat /etc/usplash.conf > usplash.conf
 5. The file created by this command in a terminal : uname -a > uname-a.txt
 6. A photo or video of the problem would also be very useful.

René Vangsgaard : There has been problems in the past with nvidia geforce 8xxx cards with usplash under AMD64. Before all, can you tell if your graphic card is a geforce 8 card? If this is the case, you don't need to post the informations I asked a few seconds earlier, the bug with nvidia geforce 8 cards has been fixed just before Hardy final release. Thanks for your bug report!

Yes, it is a nVidia 8600M GT (rev a1) graphic card. I have not experienced the error in Hardy final.
