Bug Description
Binary package hint: usplash
The screen resolution is hardcoded in /etc/usplash.conf.
This should really be detected at boot time, instead, so that hot plugging monitors will not give out-of-sync situations, or cause unsightly resampling to happen on the monitor.

Removing these settings causes it to default to some low resolution fallback.
Can this not be detected automatically?
