Bug Description
Hello,
I have a acer 1694.
I just made an install from scratch of Gutsy, kernel 2.6.22-14-generic .
It take a very long time to boot, every time.
Thus, I've looked at what it does and Every time it boot, it try to boot from file that does not exist.
After a while, he say something like : "couldn't boot from XXX so starting up a new session"
I did not use suspend or hibernate, since i made the new install.
I'll copy the exact error message and post it back.
If you need something tell me. I do not know what log or config file to post.

Hello,
So here is the Error message as promise :
Trying to resume from /dev/disk/...
Kinit : no resume image, doing a normal boot.
And I think this bug is an other one about the splash screen. After I've remove "quiet splash" from the grub menu.lst it did not give me that error again. i did three reboot and 2 shutdown to be sure.
