amd64 1280x1024 resolution, splash screen looks bad

on my amd64 edgy box i've set the usplash to vga=795

the ubuntu logo is silver looking and a bit squashed and in top corner of screen almost - there's no loading progress bar and it looks a bit naff.

this is an usplash bug not gaim, i've submitted it in wrong place and not sure how to move it. sorry...
