Bug Description

Micromax 310g 3g usb modem not detected at boot in ubuntu 11.04. No entry shown in network menu. However if the modem is 'warmed' by first booting Windows and making a connection and then switching to Ubuntu it works flawlessly. This is one of the newer 'Zero cd' modems with proprietary drivers in flash<usbstorage> and then switching to usbserial.

This bug exists in Ubuntu 11.10. Can someone tell how to connect the modem?. I can provide whatever info required.
